Two Months!

Dylan was two months on the 15th and we went for his check up last Thursday.  He weighs 10 lbs, 12 oz and is 22 1/2” long.  He is in the 25th percentile for weight and height.  He was put on medication for acid reflux and for thrush.  I feel like he has been much more pleasant since he started the medication, but he still spits up almost every time he eats.  He is still up every 2-3 hours at night, but usually goes right back to sleep after eating.  Sometimes he does like to keep me up for a couple hours at a time like last night!  He has gotten to the point where all you have to do is talk to him and he smiles.  I LOVE that.  He is starting to find his voice and coos and kicks alot.  He has had tummy time one time in his life because he gets pretty angry at me when I try to lay him on his mat on his tummy, but he is VERY strong.  He has pretty much been holding his head up since he came home from the hospital.

Baptism Sunday

On Sunday Tommy, Luke, and Dylan were all baptized!  It was very special because they were baptized in the church where I grew up, Old Durham, by the same reverend who baptized me and has been retired for many, many years.  He came back for a guest appearance three days after Dylan was born.  I asked then if I could have the boys baptized, but everyone thought (and was right) that it would be way too much for me to try to get myself and a three day old baby to church three days later so he said he would come back another time and he did!  It was a beautiful day and the boys were very well behaved. I apologize for these being totally out of order, but I’m too tired and lazy to fix them.  So, enjoy!

I was blown away with how well he did wearing his costume and trick or treating.  When I put his costume on he started to look a little skeptical about his collar, I could see him getting ready to rip the cape off, so I just started talking really fast to distract him and making a big deal about how handsome and cool he looked.  He kept it on ALL NIGHT!  He walked right up to every house (we only went to a few) and said trick or treat and thanked them.  It was awesome.  I’m so happy he’s getting big enough to enjoy this kind of stuff!!
