Happy Friday Bloggers!

Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend planned! This Sunday is mine and Tommy's first wedding anniversary! Seems like it's absolutely flown by. I can't believe that I've been married for a year and pregnant for half that time! Tommy has to work all weekend, so I'm a little bummed that we don't get to hang out for our anniversary weekend, but I've got plenty of stuff to keep me busy and we're going to dinner on Sunday when he gets home. Tomorrow I'm pug sitting for my sister, doing a friend's hair, and have a graduation party to go to. Sunday is another graduation party and then QT with Tom.

This was last night- 27 1/2 weeks

Happy Mother's Day!

I know it's a day late, but Tommy and I don't have internet at the house... yeah, a little behind in the times. We spent the day with our mommies and my family made me feel special for my first Mother's Day. Even though Luke's not here yet, I got a card and two beautiful hydrangeas from Tommy, the extremely proud father-to-be. I also got gifts and cards from my sisters. It was a gorgeous day and made me so excited to only be three months away from meeting Luke!!! I hope all you moms enjoyed your day!

Tommy and I are saving now for the nursery furniture and I've been shopping online and it is so... I don't even know what word I want to use! I want a crib, decent sized dresser, and changing table with closed storage like drawers or doors. Of course everything I love is way outside our budget, and it seems like every time I find something I like that's reasonably priced, it has terrible reviews! I'm starting to think that I'll get the crib and changer that I want and just get one of those little cubby storage units with drawers to put in his closet for now. The changer has three long drawers and a door on the side with two shelves. I mean, with such tiny clothes there's only so much room they can take up... right? Once he gets a little bigger, we'll get a real dresser. Does anybody have any ideas or stores or websites they suggest? Nesting is in full effect and I want that nursery filled up NOW! :)

I'm being hassled to update my page! I don't mind at all, I love having people who care! In Luke news, I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and the doctor went over my ultrasound results from last week. Luke had some fluid on his kidneys at my 20 week u/s, which is why I had to go for another one at 24 weeks. Dr. Shonekan says that he still has the fluid, but that it looks like it's improved some, and she's really not concerned about it. As for a cause she said "it just happens sometimes." So, I'm trying not to worry. She says they'll just check him out after he's born and make sure it's not a permanent condition and make sure it's not something threatening.

I'm officially halfway through school! Cosmetology school is a 1500 hour program, and I just hit 750 hours. I'm happy and proud of myself in some ways, but on the other hand I think about how "over it" I am right now, and realize I still have sooo far to go. And going back after Luke arrives is going to be very difficult. I had an evaluation the other day and got very good written and verbal comments from one of my instructors.

Tommy started playing softball two weeks ago on a Charles County Co-Rec league. They play double headers every Friday at Laurel Springs and so far are 0-4, but looking good! Especially for a new team! The team is full of my friends and family, so I've had alot of fun at the games. I get waaaay more into it than I thought I would... I'm a shouter :) Here's some (terrible) pictures.
