Eh, why not?

A couple of me, cause I was a pretty cute baby myself :)

A Little Glimpse of Luke

Tommy's family has such a strong resemblance and nobody in my family really looks like one another, so I'm convinced Luke's going to be a spitting image of Tommy. So, here's some baby pictures of Tommy so you can get a sneak peek of our new addition :) Check out that stroller! And how bout those socks and sandals in the bottom right! I think he's a cutie.

Baby Showers!

I had two wonderful showers this weekend. Saturday was a larger shower at the Potomac Heights Community Center that my sisters and friends threw. I can't believe how many gifts I got. Everything was really cute and I had a great time. Sunday I had another shower because I have two cousins also due in August- me on the 17th, Jessica on the 23rd, and Julie on the 30th. So, my mom and her sisters decided to throw a separate shower for us all so that the aunts and cousins didn't have to come to three different showers! Unfortunately Jessica is stuck in Tennessee on bed rest, so she wasn't able to come up and celebrate with us. The Sunday shower was at the Royal Tea Room in La Plata and it was very nice. I know I had more pictures from Sunday, but something must have gone wrong with my camera because just now when I went to upload there was only one of me and Julie. I'll have to steal some from my mom or one of my aunts.

Luke's room is actually surprisingly organized right now. I got all of the clothes washed, separated, and put away. Toys went in my homemade toy chest from Melissa and Erin, kitchen stuff got sorted, books on the shelf, diapers in the closet. I also got his bouncy seat put together and the diaper genie put together (which was really nothing). Still have a long way to go... swing, pack 'n play, stroller, car seat, high chair. None of that stuff has even been taken out of the box.

The cake made by my Aunt Carol. It cracked me up!

Luke's Lair

Luke's crib came in Wednesday night and Tommy and I put it together right away. Tommy did most of the work with me supervising.

We're going to Ocean City this weekend. I'm sure we'll be driving through rain tonight, but I'm hoping for good weather the rest of the weekend!

Monday I'll be 30 weeks! 75% of the way there!! And next weekend I have baby showers on Saturday and Sunday so I can't wait to get lots of goodies for Luke and get his room organized and looking "lived in."

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

There's kind of a crazy thing going on on our street right now. Tommy and I are the third house in. Our next door neighbor just had a little girl last month. The house next to them (the corner house) is due August 13th, 4 days before me... with a girl. So the three of us in a row are pregnant. A couple weeks ago I was looking out my living room window and saw that my neighbor across the street is extremely pregnant! I got a chance to chat with her the other day and she's due July 6th... with a GIRL! Poor Luke. The first thing Tommy said was something about him having lots of girlfriends or all the girls wanting Luke or something like that and I said yes, that's a possibility ooooor... he might be picking flowers and playing barbies! Tommy says that is NOT a possibility :)

This weekend was nice and lazy. Friday Bonnie, Ronnie, and baby Leeanna came by because Bonnie needed her hair touched up. We hung out for a couple hours then Tommy and I laid around. Saturday we went to D.C. and went to the Holocaust Museum (Tommy had never been), went to the movies to see Angels and Demons, and to Carraba's for dinner. It was a gorgeous day and it was nice to get out. Yesterday though, I absolutely did not take advantage of the gorgeous day and laid on my couch for probably 80% of the day. I've only got a couple more months where that will ever be a possibility, so I guess I should take advantage now!

Everyone have a great week! I'll probably catch back up next Monday... I don't have baby things to talk about every day yet.
