Always Behind!

I feel like I should have my blogger card revoked or something!  I seriously don’t know where you guys find the time!  The worst part about this gap between my last two posts is that when I went to download my pictures, I realized I have barely taken any!  So, here’s what I have…

On Sunday (the 21st) my cousin Amanda and I went up to the White Plains flea market to get rid of junk.  I thought Luke was really good for being up early and outside all day.  I will definitely not do it again.  Totally not worth lugging all of your junk, unpacking it, and then repacking all the stuff you don’t sell.  From not on all of my stuff, instead of just some, is going straight to the Salvation Army.

Last week was just kind of crazy and then on Friday I left after work for Ocean City all by myself!  I met my friend TJ from cosmetology school and some of her friends for her bachelorette party, but they were staying in a condo and I was staying at our house.  I must say that I really enjoyed it.  Being in a silent house was extremely relaxing.  We went out Friday night, I slept in reeeeeally late Saturday morning, did some shopping Saturday afternoon, and then I headed home to watch a girly movie in bed before going out Saturday night.  As much as I enjoyed my “alone time” I was so happy to come home to the boys Sunday afternoon.  When I got home Luke was taking a nap and when I went to get him up from his nap he did not care that I was there. :)  Looked at me like “why do you keep going ‘HIIIII BABYYYYYY!!!!!’ in my face, Mommy?”

This week we’ve had to do some house rearranging so I’ve been trying to get that done and get to bed at a decent hour.  Here’s some more pictures from the past couple of days.DSCN1380

um… what’s that thing on your head, Dad?

Do you think maybe I could try it?

Luke is either getting sick or has allergies :(  He has a runny nose and sounds congested.  He hardly slept at all today and I’m afraid I may have a long night ahead of me.

Well, we have a busy weekend ahead, so I doubt you’ll be hearing from me.  But, I’ll at least try to take lots of pictures!!

Everyone get out and enjoy the gorgeous weather!

Ever Since I Can Remember…

100_1102

…Luke’s been poppin’ his collar.  Poppin’, poppin’ his collar.

7 Months Old!!

I can’t believe it.  My baby boy is growing up so fast!  I don’t get too sappy about it, though.  I get excited at every new milestone and I’m way more excited for the future and not so nostalgic for the past.  I say that now, but it might be a different story when Luke can walk and talk and is saying things like “let me do it, Mama!”  Not too much to say for this month’s post, but here’s a video of our beautiful boy laughing with Daddy.

Sage and Luke

Bonnie was Sage’s nanny from infancy until she was 3 or 4, and she still spends lots of time with our family and absolutely loves Luke!

Wardrobe Malfunction

So, I'm trying on Luke's different outfits I have picked out for his pictures tomorrow, and this foot...

(p.s.- can you see the lint in between his toes? haha)

...will not fit into any of these adorable shoes!!

Tommy picked out the "Jesus sandals" on the left, Melissa got him the middle pair, and Morgan sent the right hand pair from NC. I was so excited to put him in shoes for his pictures but no... that little pork chop foot doesn't fit any of them! Guess we'll have a barefoot baby for our photo shoot!

So, I don't want to "jinx" anything, but I must note that Luke has been coming pretty close to sleeping through the night for the past three nights!! After talking about my sleep deprivation woes on Tuesday at Outback, my mother reported the next day that he slept from 7 something until 3 something for her. That's pretty close. Wednesday night, he did the same thing. Went to bed around 8 (he was up a little late at Aunt Carol's), and didn't wake up until 3:30. Last night he went to bed at 7, woke up at 10:30 and ate a couple ounces, and then slept until 6!! Definitely seems like an 8 hour uninterrupted sleep pattern is forming! Please let it be so!

Catch Up!

Wow, so much to catch up on!  Not sure how I got so behind.  Okay, I’ll start at last weekend.  On Sunday we went down to my parents for dinner and Aunt Carrie came!  She was missing Luke like crazy and hadn’t seen him in a while.  They played all day and Luke was extra cute for her and a very good boy.  Sometime late last week we discovered Luke could sit up by himself pretty well with no help, so here he is showing off his skills on Sunday.

Sunday was also his first time in his inflatable duck tub!  He really liked it and looked like such a big boy!DSCN1316

and having a good time with Dad, as alwaysDSCN1323

So, the weekend was over and Monday was another long day at school, missing the boys like crazy.  Tuesday Luke took a nice walk outside with Grandma.  He’s only been in this little stroller one other time.  He was a little less than two months old, and I had to lean him to one side and shove a blanket beside him to make him kind of be able to sit up.  Now look at how he fills it out!DSCN0584 IMG_0250

When they got back Luke played with some of his big boy toys like his tool box and cookie jarIMG_0254

Tuesday night we had a blogger mom’s dinner (I had to post the picture, I couldn’t be left out!)  Where the savvy bloggers informed me of Live Writer, which I’m pretty sure has changed my blogging life, so thanks girls!  I had a great time!

Then we went to Aunt Carol’s for me to work on my quilt some more.  I have the entire top of the quilt sewn together.  Now I just need to add a border, the middle batting, and back, and then it’s ready for Baby Claire!        IMG_0271

Luke was really good and had a great time playing with Amanda, Carol, and Craig as usual.

Well, I’m so happy that it’s Thursday and the weekend is so close!  We have lots of plans this weekend, and Luke is having his pictures taken professionally for the first time!  Well, sort of.  We’re doing them at Jason and Brittany’s, but they’ll be done by Brittany’s brother-in-law, who is a professional photographer.  I’m trying to find him the perfect outfit for pictures/Easter, and I’m having a tough time.

I’ll try to keep up this weekend and take lots of pictures and blog as I go so I don’t have to take twenty minutes to do my next post!

Almost...

There hasn't been much to post about in the past week. Luke hasn't been a very happy boy. His teeth are really bothering him. The second one has now emerged and he seems to be cheering up. He did so well last night after a few pretty rough nights! He went to bed at 5:30 last night which kind of bummed me out. I hardly got to spend any time with him! But, I could tell he was really exhausted and was rubbing his eyes and went down without a fight. He woke up at 8:30 and I gave him a couple ounces of formula and then he didn't wake up again until 1:30! Then, he slept until 6!!! So close to sleeping through the night. So close!! Cutting back on his formula was definitely the way to go. I think he's starting to realize 2 ounces isn't worth waking up for. Maybe by 7 months we'll be there! Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm heading to my aunt's tonight to work on my new hobby some more... quilting! We'll see how it goes. I don't know if I'm detail-oriented enough to become good at this. Right now I'm working on a quilt for my favorite baby girl, Claire Bear!
